Stellenbosch Vineyards, a leading wine producer and exporter in South Africa, has officially launched a new corporate identity alongside its reestablished Stellenbosch Vineyards Collection of Fine Wines in support of its long-term corporate positioning and growth strategy.
While still branded as Stellenbosch Vineyards, the new identity has been designed to reflect the evolved corporate positioning and brand promise, whilst commemorating the rich heritage of the company within the wine industry. The new identity is inclusive of a refreshed corporate logo and typeface, a refined corporate colour palette and incorporates the silhouette of the Welmoed homestead, dating back to 1690, on which the company head offices is situated.
Apart from a rollout across the various business touch points, the new corporate positioning also brings about the reestablished Stellenbosch Vineyards Collection of Fine Wines that will carry the new emblem alongside a few transformations to present a family of super and ultra-premium wines. Produced to showcase the company’s philosophy of excellence and elegance, the Stellenbosch Vineyards Collection of Fine Wines provides an exquisite selection for the discerning palate with a rewarding experience that is the excellence of our terroir in every bottle. These wines include The Flagship, Credo, Infiniti and Stellenbosch Vineyards, as well as the heritage range Welmoed – all of which have been crafted with exceptional skill and have frequently been awarded for their excellence.
“Stellenbosch Vineyards is now entering a new and exciting period in its journey and with a focus on growing our market share within the premium wine category, we consider this as our first step to firmly establish our presence in this segment. It is our vision to be the South African wine supplier of choice as well as to be the most admired wine company in South Africa. Our new positioning as an organization and on pack fully supports this vision,” says Sales & Marketing Executive, Jeff Gradwell.
Commenting on the evolution of Stellenbosch Vineyards and its future winemaking plans, Managing Director, Eduan Steynberg states, “As a business we measure our success not only by our profitability, but also by our ability to reinvent ourselves through our innovative products and leading brands. In order to grow the business year on year, we need to stay relevant to our consumers around the world.
As a company we continue to be innovative in producing new and exciting products that cater for both our existing fans and new wine drinkers. Repositioning our corporate identity and establishing the Stellenbosch Vineyards Collection of Fine Wines not only provides the wine drinkers a selection of extraordinary wines, but also gives our winemaking team the opportunity to explore a wider range of varietals and extend our offering by creating smaller parcels of wines that are of great quality and deliver against our company vision,” he continues.
Eduan concludes: “The new Stellenbosch Vineyards represents the combination of old and new, taking reference from our past yet with a modern look and feel making it timeless. As we enter the next chapter, the re-positioning of Stellenbosch Vineyards is a nod to the future, and reaffirms the role the company intends to play in the creation of high quality South African wines.”
