Harvest 2017 a Good One!
With the grape harvest moving along swiftly at the moment after a slightly later start than in 2016, our winemaker Jan van Rooyen and his team are working at top speed to ensure the grapes are brought in safely and in great condition. For more about the harvest from Jan, visit our website.

New Confectionary Tasting Will Be a Hit
We’ve teamed up with artisanal confectionary producer Basilei and will kick off a new 5-wine pairing this month for only R80 per person. The pairing is available whenever the tasting room is open and bookings are not needed, although if you are planning to visit in a group, it is advisable to book.

Tasting Room Specials Now Online!
If you’re not in close vicinity to the Estate, you sometimes miss out on our tasting room specials, and we hear all about it! So from this month, our tasting room offer can be ordered by emailing Ella or Marcella in our tasting room at, who will assist you. The specials for the month are:
A 6-pack of our Pinot Noir/Chardonnay 2016 at R360 (Normal price R420) or 6 bottles of the Cabernet Merlot 2014 at R420 (Normal price R492).

Durbanville Sale Set For Mid-March
“This is the sale for you if you’re keen on acquiring a Var yearling for a good price,” says Avontuur GM Pippa Mickleburgh. Three Var’s feature in the group, including a physically imposing colt out of Oasis Song called Gallagher and two fillies, Au Revoir out of Timetogoby and Bouvier out of Jackie O.
