Flagstone Press Juice - June

26 June 2018  -  Flagstone Wines

Being a dad, much like our winemaking process, involves creativity, hardwork and perseverance. Here’s to a month of celebrating dads.

Pop Art Cart

The Pop Art Cart is an example of the Flagstone creativity being brought to life. It is a rather novel way to do food and wine pairings (and thus the perfect blank canvas.) We took something as bland as popcorn and created a unique sensory experience.

With the help of our winemaker, Gerhard, we spiced up our wine tastings with the perfect pairings of popcorn. Flavours include Cape Malay Curry, Brown Onion and Clove, and Minted Cocoa and Sea Salt. Enjoy the stand so that you - our wine drinkers, can make the right choice when choosing between our wines. For more innovative experiences, visit the Flagstone Winery

Discovering Gold

Each of our wines was once an idea that we had the courage to pursue. Some resulting in award-winning creativity. Read more about our wine here

The creative process, behind the creative process

Our new campaign demonstrates the creative process and how ideas are born. These visual elements of the campaign were individually cut, crafted, moulded, written and shaped to show the depth of work that goes into creating our wine. Thus making each element of the campaign a journey of perseverance in itself.

The Creative Process

Result of Creative Persistence

Creativity is an ongoing process and the key? Persistence. This campaign is a demonstration of having the courage to pursue our ideas and essentially, our wines. It is therefore an analogy of Flagstone’s creative process, literally and metaphorically.

Our Wine of the Month

The process of getting the subtle fruit flavours from our grapes, is what makes this fortified wine different to most others. It is the perfect finish to a delectable meal and a marvelous evening. But try it out and you have the final say.

Flowing from a bright sapphire to a rich ruby red, our Last Word leaves a sweet, tangy sensation on the tongue. By fortifying a fermenting wine with barrel-aged brandy we stop the wildly raging fermentation in its tracks. This is the traditional South African way of weaving the ethereal flavours and aromas of fermentation into the typical dense, complex and tannic structure of our handmade reds. Giving us a wine with fabulous structure and the fruitiness and spiciness of Pinotage, but with a little bit of sugar, making it a perfect pairing from something sweet.
