Asara’s PureGin festival on the 8th December will showcase a number of South Africa’s finest craft gins including Southern Cross Gin, Hope on Hopkins Distillery, Ginologist, Autograph Gin Distillery, Gin Smith, Juniper Moon Gin South Africa, Monks Gin, Knysna Gin, L’Agulhas Gin, Caspyn Gin, Blossom & Hops and more.

A true gin adventure! Plus quality local tonics Swaan Cape Tonic, Barker and Quin Tonic Water, and Fitch & Leedes will be on display. And the delicious, fruity Cape vermouth, Caperitif.

Plus, since it's a festival, there'll be delicious food too in the form of a Hog roast, Lamb on the spit, Chargrilled Tuna & a vegetarian option.

Build-up to the festival starts with a live performance by the Pebble Shakers Jazz Band at the Sansibar Gin Lounge on the evening of Thursday 6th, and the band will play again on Friday night, at the festival itself, and for Sunday brunch at Raphael’s.

Christmas Day will be celebrated with a sumptuous lunch at Raphael’s in a relaxed festive spirit, with smiling service and Asara’s spectacular views as a backdrop. The lunch will feature a hot and cold buffet with traditional Christmas roasts and more.

On New Year’s Eve festivities will begin with cocktails on the Sansibar terrace as the sun goes down. This will be followed by a gourmet dinner at Raphael’s with a complementary glass of Asara bubbly (MCC) on seating. After dinner, guests will return to Sansibar to see in the New Year in festive style with another complementary glass of Asara bubbly at midnight.
