Join us in celebrating two generations of Alto Winemakers

Alto as the name suggests is a lofty wine estate on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain near Stellenbosch, set within what is known as the Golden Triangle.

The proverbial promised land for South African red wine and home to Alto’s award-winning, quintessential Stellenbosch reds. Winemaker Bertho van der Westhuizen is only the 5th winemaker in the Estate’s 100 year history, having grown up on the farm under his father, Schalk van der Westhuizen’s tenure as Alto winemaker.

Thus a family affair, the pair being one of two father-son winemaking pairs in the history of the estate.

As such we’d like to invite you to join us for an intimate 4-course dinner with Winemaker Bertho van de Westhuizen at Grub & Vine, Cape Town. Pairing four Alto wines selected by the father-son duo, the meal is curated by the acclaimed patron chef, Matt Manning and served in their private dining room. Join us in celebration of some of Stellenbosch’s finest.
