Hazendal Launches New Luxury Homestead

Hazendal’s remarkable Cape Dutch Homestead, dating back 1790, has been sensitively restored and converted to offer elegant winelands accommodation.

Boasting period furniture, striking artworks and luxurious interior décor, this exclusive-use guesthouse can accommodate 10 guests in five beautiful spacious suites.

An elegant escape

The Homestead offers families or a group of friends a luxurious and intimate escape in the Cape winelands. The exclusive-use guesthouse has five bedrooms, across two floors.

Guests at The Homestead also enjoy dedicated butler service, curated art tours by the Marvol Gallery, complimentary access to the Wonderdal kids’ experience, and a tasting experience in the Wine Lounge. Guests can also explore the estate’s exquisite culinary, cultural and family experiences or tee off at Hazendal’s
World-class golf facilities. The Homestead is located between Cape Town & Stellenbosch, ideal for leisure travelers wanting to explore these vibrant cities.

Voyage to the 1800's

When guests are not in residence, The Homestead is open for day visitors to discover the period furniture, architecture and art on self-guided tours. Highlights include original works by acclaimed artists Vladimir Tretchikoff and Jacobus Hendrik Pierneef, one of the largest privately-held historic map collections in South Africa and furniture rarities from the 18th–century.
