Making wines that embody origin is the ultimate outcome we strive for. We also respect nature and the preservation thereof; it is thus an endeavour of our team to rehabilitate the flora of this estate to that which is indigenous to the Cape, so as to maintain a balance between our natural environment and agriculture. Minimal intervention is preferred throughout our vinification process. Once handpicked, our grapes are carefully transferred to our cellar. Pods are then utilised for gentle gravitational movement within the cellar environment. This ultimately leads to wines with a refined tannin structure, balance, tension and longevity, not only in taste but also with bottle maturation. The Taaibosch Crescendo – This classical wine has remained true to its composition since it was first produced in the 1990’s. A Bordeaux blend of note, dominated by Cabernet franc, amplified by Merlot and complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our accommodation includes a manor house which dates to 1838, providing an old-world charm for those who wish to step back into the past. It is here that our custodians have lived and farmed for almost two centuries. Our two contemporary villas have been transformed into luxurious hideaways, where one can simply relax in privacy and admire the natural surrounds offered by the Helderberg Mountain.
