The Spier 21 Gables Pinotage 2017 received a Grand Gold from the internationally acclaimed Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, with each of the other wines in the 21 Gables range receiving Gold medals.
Amongst 10,000 wines reviewed at the 28th Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Spier received one Grand Gold, 6 Gold awards and 5 Silver awards. In addition, the recently announced Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) appraised more than 18,000 wines from 56 countries and awarded 2 Gold and 15 Silver to Spier’s portfolio.
These international results affirm the 21 Gables wines awarded lineage. “Balance and elegance are the threads which go through each of these wines. Each is complex, complete and subtle,” says Spier’s cellar master Johan Jordaan. “We are delighted with these accolades. The success of the 21 Gables range on the world stage recognises our passionate commitment to crafting quality wines that embody the Cape’s winemaking heritage.”
