Set in the scenic Schapenberg hills near Stellenbosch, Journey’s End is a family-owned winery dedicated to crafting exceptional wines and making a positive impact. Since 1996, the Gabb family has restored the estate, cultivating over 40 hectares of vineyards in ancient granitic soils. Cooled by the “Cape Doctor” wind from False Bay, the vines yield grapes that express the region’s unique terroir. Journey’s End is a WWF Conservation Champion and holds certifications from WIETA, IPW, and Fairtrade. As South Africa’s first B-Corp certified winery, they are committed to using business as a force for good.

Inhouse Events and Specials

Hospitality is a natural extension of our winemaking philosophy – authentic, generous, and deeply rooted in a sense of place. The Kleine Zalze Restaurant, led by acclaimed chef Nic van Wyk, offers a refined yet approachable dining experience that celebrates honest, timeless cooking. Our Taste, Explore, Relax menu lets you enjoy each dish your way – tapas – style, lighter fare, or traditional mains. In our Tasting Centre, located between the cellar and restaurant, guests can explore our award – winning wines in a tranquil setting. Whether under the vines in Summer or by the fire in Winter, every visit reflects our commitment to excellence – from vine to table.
